Delaware Law Bans Parents from Spanking their Kids -- Thursday, 27 September 2012 --
Delaware has become the very first state to pass a controversial law that effectively outlaws the corporal discipline of children by their parents. Senate bill 234 was signed into law by Governor Jack Markell on September 12. Sponsored by Delaware’s Senate Majority Leader Patricia Blevins, the bill redefines child abuse laws to include any act that causes “pain.”

Pastor Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison For Teaching That Parents Should Spank Their Children
May 25, 2012 -- Wisconsin -- A minister named Philip Caminiti was sentenced to 2 years in prison for simply teaching that parents should spank their children when they misbehave...Caminiti was found guilty by a jury in March of eight counts of conspiracy to commit child abuse for teaching church members what he said was a literal interpretation of discipline prescribed by the Bible.
